Independent Bookshop Week was first launched back in 2006 (almost 20 years ago!) and is a part of the ‘Books Are My Bag’ campaign. It was originally created to celebrate all independent bookshops nationwide, and the impact that they have had on their local communities.

We want to say a massive thank you to all of our retailers who stock our books. We couldn't do it without you.

Although the Indie Book Awards 2023 submissions have now closed, we wanted to let you know the winners! There were four categories: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Children’s Fiction and Picture Book.
