DORIC FILM FESTIVAL – Enter before 23rd May
Northeast film makers are hard at work preparing for a unique celebration which will take place in Aberdeen this summer.
In honour of The Doric Film Festival being crowned winner of the “Scots Cultural Project o the Year” at the 2024 Scots Language Awards, plans are underway to host a celebration of participants’ achievements and look at highlights from the Festival over the years. It will take place at the Robert Gordon University in June and will showcase not only the event itself but also how it has helped create an important stage for filmmakers to display their work.
New work is also being sought for the 2025 gathering and, continuing the celebratory tone, this year’s theme is: “Weel deen abidy.” It is hoped that it will once again draw in a diverse range of short films by individuals, groups and schools to celebrate the richness and diversity of Doric.
